RU AFFILIATES - Is it Legit or Scam?

These past few days, I've been seeing these posts about RU Business or RU Affiliates and out of curiosity, I clicked on the link that was provided from one of my friends' posts. So here it goes...

At first, I was there on their website to see what this company does or let's say, to prove that this is another scam circulating online. From the link, I was directed to a welcome video explaining what this company is all about and since I love learning, I was able to finish that video and found it quite convincing.  I continued browsing to learn more about RU Affiliates and here are the interesting facts that I've learned about this company:

RU Affiliates is actually a referral system business. Once you activated your account by purchasing the product from them, you will be given a referral link which you can use to invite people to buy their product; yes, they have the product and they sell it through their members' referrals. The product is called "IHX Factor", a course that will teach you how to be fluent in online marketing. Somehow as a freelancer, it interests me as I always seek for new learning and online marketing is one of my skills that I wanted to develop. I make sure that I take new courses at least every 3 months and I pay from 65 to 100 USD per course. Each new course for me is an added skill that means more room for opportunities and self growth. The IHX Factor package costs 1599 which is cheaper than my previously completed courses and so I told myself that I can buy this course for my own benefit not thinking about the business behind it.
I am the type of person that don't easily trust everything I see on the internet, I avoid those "too good to be true offers" as they are probably a SCAM. I did my own research via Google and looked for RU Affiliates reviews and so far, no negative reviews found (yet?). Most articles I've read are about how Ru Affiliates work and obviously, those authors are already a member as they have their referral link within their post which is acceptable especially if you truly trust the product or company.

Out of curiosity again, I ended up filing out their online registration form and I was able to watch a short course about online marketing business which for me is very interesting. I did further research about this company, reading and watching videos about them. With all the information I have gathered so far, I don't see any reason why I would decline buying the product and refer it to others.

Some Facts about RU Affiliates
  • RU Affiliates sells course package that teaches how to do online marketing.
  • an affiliate marketing that can be compared to lazada affiliates, amazon affiliates and etc. where they allow registered members to sell products through referrals
  • gives commission to every referral from 200 to 1000 per successful referral.
  • originated in the Philippines with physical office at Block 18, Lot 1 Phase 3 Sto Tomas, BiƱan City, Laguna, Philippines.
  • founded by a gospel preacher named Wesley Bacate
  • has legal documents like DTI, Barangay permit, City permit, BIR and etc.
The Verdict

To finalize this post, I should give my verdict whether this company is legit or not. So far, I don't see any irregularities or traces of being a scam. In fact, I tried to buy the package but I was not able to make it before the cut-off time, so I still have time to think it over and update this post for whatever decisions I'll make . To be able to find the answer to all your questions, it's good to browse other review sites and compare each review and you can decide for yourself whether you would like to join or not. To know if an offer is legit or scam, it should not ask for huge amount upon registration, it should have products to sell, company profile should not be hidden, there should be a tracking information of your earnings from your referrals, should not sound too good to be true, the company should have the complete legal documents and it should not create a false sense of urgency that is avoiding you to think rationally.

The only thing that does not impress me about RU is the possibility that it might lead people to make wrong decisions. I am referring to the huge amount of commission that they promise, that even people don't plan to take the course package, they would buy it because of the business. The consequence is...once you bought the package and you don't have any plans to use it, you'll probably fail! Let's admit it that not everyone is good in marketing, whether it's online of physical. So, if you are planning to join RU, make sure that you'll use the product, apply it for yourself, think about the learning and just consider the business as a bonus.

That's all for RU Affiliates and I hope you'll make the right decision.
