Avocado Beauty and Health Benefits


Hey moms! did you know that Avocado is considered as one of the healthiest fruits on Earth? Avocado is common in the Philippines which comes in different varieties, sizes and textures in its peeling. Usually, ripen avocado is purple and green when raw, however there are other varieties of this healthy fruit which remains green even when ripen. Avocados do not ripen on the tree, you need to harvest them first, place in a safe container then wait until it soften.


Avocado has so much health benefits to our body and beauty. Some beauty experts use avocado to help maintain healthy skin and hair. Aside from the great nutritional benefits of avocado, it is also considered as a powerful healing fruit in natural medicine the history. In traditional Chinese culture, avocado is used to cure different illnesses. Some of the great healing powers of avocado are as follows:

  • Cools down body temperature - based on a research, avocado has the power to help to cool down body temperature to help prevent heat stroke.
  • Lubricants - avocado is also known to be the best aid to constipation for its natural lubricants that helps intestine to function better as well as to dry lungs to function normally. Avocado's natural lubricants is also believed to be the moisturizer of the body, internal or external.
  • One of the great characteristics of avocado is its high potassium content which is three times greater than of bananas.
Avocado for beauty
Avocado for hand, body and foot spa - because of its natural moisturizer, avocado is used by beauty conscious and beauty expert as hand and foot spa treatment.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup blended avocado
  • 1/3 cup Quaker oat meal
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tbsp. calamansi or lemon extract
Procedure: simply rub the mixture to your entire body, leave for 30 minutes and wash thoroughly to get perfect result.

Avocado for hair treatment
To make the best avocado treatment mixture, you only need two ingredients: 1/4 cup of blended avocado and 1 tbsp. olive oil. Olive oil treats damaged hair and prevents it from tangling while avocado provides the natural mineral to your hair most especially biotin, a vitamin that makes hair stronger and healthier. To attain healthier and shinier hair, simply massage avocado mixture to your scalp up to the tip of your hair, cover with head cap, leave for at least 30 minutes then shampoo and rinse. You will notice your hair will become shinier. Doing this procedure will help your scalp to hold your hair strands tightly that prevents hair from falling and helps the hair grow longer faster than before.
